General Summery: The largest functioning city on Annua. It's location behind a large mountain ridge means this city is protected from most of the severe storms that constantly drift across the planet. This city has been slowly rebuilt after several hundred years but still has many decrepit buildings within its limits that have yet to be repurposed.
Caltin was formed from the ruins of a great city that was left behind by 'The ones before', and has been nothing short of a technological treasure trove for the Seetra population. While most of the left over tech has been greatly damaged, the residents of the city have managed to uncover and repurpose a good portion of it.
This allowed the Seetra to gain technology that allowed space travel far earlier than most species.
Caltin has both the highest population and the largest amount of research facilities, collages, and tech companies of anywhere on the planet. Because of this it is used as a central hub for discoveries related to the tech ruins and spearheads the integration of this tech in their day to day lives.
It allows them to study not only artifacts from their own planet but others as well.
It is thought that all the data to unlock the secrets of 'Those that came before' are locked away in some of the databanks they have yet to be able to reach.
The closer you get to the outskirts of Caltin, the more 'apocalyptic' it becomes with buildings being filled with wild plants, broken windows, and other 'decay' one might expect to see in a city that was left empty for hundreds of years.
