+Hello cosmonauts, I have a rather large update here for everyone. I have sectioned it out for ease of reading.

+     New Items
+We are happy to announce some new items~
+-The Subtype Stone is an item that can be used on a Shirefolk to give them another subtype! The resulting Hybrid unlocks all traits related to the subtype that was add to them. You can use multiple Subtype Stones to add even more subtypes to your Shirefolk. This item is currently available in the Shop. This item falls under the 'Trait Item' Catagory on the Item Masterlist.
+Your Shirefolk is only able to become a hybrid with subtypes that belong to its species.
+For example: This stone could be used to make an Orko and Wyrm Fetter Hybrid. But can not be use to make an Orko Fetter  and Nimbus Hybrid. This is because Nimbus is a Alfien subtype.
+-Shimmer Scales have officially been introduced and can be obtained via fishing! You can trade them to Caspian and he will give you potions for them. To learn more about that please check out the update here on the [[Fishing]] page. With the introduction of Shimmer Scales, the Fishing expedition is currently fully functioning and can allow players to earn some trait potions over time.  Eventually more fishing locations will become available and they will likely offer different types of prize pools and collectables. This item falls under the 'Fishing Item' Catagory on the Item Masterlist.
+-IOU Voucher item has been introduced into the game. This item is able to be crafted using x5 Baitworms. Caspian uses the worms to fish and is happy to trade the voucher for them. You can use this voucher on your next fishing entry to nullify the background requirement if it is a visual entry or to reduce the needed word count form 800 to 500 for a written entry. If you submit an entry with no background, or with 500 words instead of 800, staff will be checking your inventory for a voucher and will then pull it from the inventory. If you don't want to use the voucher yet just make sure that your entry meets all the standard requirements for the Fishing expedition. This item falls under the 'Fishing Item' Catagory on the Item Masterlist.

+-Badge book- Keep your eyes peeled moving  forward as we work on Badge books! These books will allow users to log the badges they earn in the group and get rewarded as they reach 'Badge Goals'.  This system is still in the works but we hope to have it out soon.
+-Stickit book- We may also be coming out with a Stickit book for our Stickit enthusiasts. This project will be below the 'Badge Book' in priority, but we do hope to get this system out in the relatively near future.
+-The next Expedition activities that will getting worked on will be Mining and then Gardening.
+-Magic training and Mentors will ideally be worked on and created some time later this year.

+     Group/Site work list

+-The updating of the ChS Trait list is going to be underway soon. With many of the traits condensed and changed over the past year or so, many of the trait 'rarity colors' are no longer accurate and can be confusing. We will be working to make the colors and examples more uniform and thus more clear for members.
+-Krake Voidwings will be getting a small but fun update for both their Grand and normal forms.
+-Desert Gremlins will be getting a subtype name change that will be announced at a later date as well as ideally a new subtype introduction.
+-Several new companion species are in the works and will ideally be released over the next year.
+-We are hoping to introduce another species to the group. As some of you may know I (Cheshiretails) own several species, and I do plan to integrate most of them officially into the ChS ARPG. I look forward to continuing to release these species here

+**Horn shapes** are now no longer considered any type of rarity, and all horn types are free to be used on a Shirefolk without a trait being needed. Some 'horn types' are no longer considered part of the 'horns' category at all and have been merged with a more fitting trait.

+A few **ear types** have been combined due to being so similar and lack of use. This should allow some more fun ear shaped to be used without needing to use a trait potion.

+-Petaled Ears (Uncommon) and Split ears (Common) Combined into split ears. The rarity is staying common.

+**Body Traits** update

+-Pumpkin Head has been changed to Veggie head- This trait now allows the Shirefolk's head to be replaced with (Or take on the shape/texture of) any vegetable or fruit.
+-Head Splice (Unique) and Feet Swap(Rare) have been combined into a new trait 'Body Splice'- This trait allows you to splice body features found on one Shirefolk species onto a different Shirefolk species.  This trait is now Unique.

+Hello cosmonauts, I bring some fun news today. We have officially released the first fishing activity for players to participate in.
+Fishing will allow players to create an art entry, submit it, and get rolls that will contain a random assortment of items or fish that the player can collect. Each entry will also earn a guaranteed crystal cluster~
+There will be a plan to have uses for some (or most) of these creatures/items in the crafting bench or to be sold in the shops for a few extra crystals. There also may be some fun exchanges that can be done later on but that is all we can say for now. If you manage to collect all the tidepool prizes, you can earn yourself a new badge.
+More fishing locations will be released in time but for now please feel free to check out the [[Fishing]] page and take some time to relax at [[The Tidepool]]. Our new NPC [[Caspian]] will be happy to help you get started.
+The next goal is to get mining ready and released for player to enjoy so stay tuned for that activities release.

+. (1/25/25) Big news today, we have a new species to welcome to the ChS universe~
+A peace treaty has been reached between the Alfien’s and the Voidwings and as a result you will start to see Voidwings out and about in the ChS universe.
+At the current moment Voidwings cannot be created via the free MYO slot but can be obtained via purchasing a custom from ChS staff or from adopts that will be coming soon.
+There will ideally be a group wide event starting in early February to celebrate their release.

+A. As of 1/31/25 the traits 'Eyes of Madness', 'Different Pupil', 'Robotic Iris', and 'Googly Eyes' have all been combined into 'Alt Eyes'. This allows any iris and/or pupil colors, shapes, patterns ect. on the eyes. This trait is rare at this time. Compensatory traits have been given out as needed to designs that this applied to.
+B. It should also be noted that Voidwings have an ice breath ability. Ice breath does not give control of ice magic and Voidwings that want to use ice magic will need to learn it from the proper mentor when they are available.

 Hello Cosmonauts, we hope everyone had a great holiday and new years. We want to recap the progress of the group over the 2024 year as well as some of the future plans we are hoping to accomplish in 2025. While we work hard to make sure that we create and produce new content we can't promise that all of the planned features will be done this year. We also want to thank you for all the love and support we have received. This ARPG would not be possible with out the amazing players that make up this group. We look forward to soaring through the stars with everyone in 2025~
