A town tucked away in a section of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, High Mount is a location that holds unlikely surprises. The forest surrounding the town is teaming with wild life, hidden trails, and breath taking views. While it can be a popular place for hikers it is recommended that you don't travel too far into the woods without having a lot of experience under your belt or a local as a guide. 

There are a lot of 'ghost' stories that are a deep part of the town's history and it is now being looked at as another possible location for a weak magical barrier to the realm just above Earth's. The creature and 'spirit' sightings here have become frequent enough that research teams have been deployed to investigate this further. If this turns out to be the case then this would be the second location to be found like this, with the first location being [[The Heap]] in Canada. 

Coal mines and caves located in this region are particular points of interest as local legends often describe strange creatures living in these places. If the ghosts and ghouls don't take your breath away the vast expanses of untouched nature might. For those that don't believe or fear the supernatural, High Mount is a haven of relaxation and a great place on Earth to reconnect with nature.
