The mixture of the hot climate, strange flora, and expansive lava tube caves have brought many dragon degils to this island. At first the locals were not please with others moving into ancestral lands, but when the degils were able to further increase plant growth and showed that they were resistant to the fumes and heat that filled the tunnels the locals realized that the degils would bring more prosperity to them. The degils work hard to study the volcano, gather ash, and explore the lava tubes for treasures and rare rock formations that can be sold.  The farmers mix the ash from the volcano into their soil to help increase the growth and production of their crops.
