-Several thousands of years ago an ancient deity called Jalis flew through the cosmos on her great wings. It was said that a trail of stars was left in her wake and nebulas formed from her wing tips. Her beauty and wonder was coveted by many but her gentle gaze usually soothed the even the most jealous of souls. However, often times where there is great light shining, there are also great shadows. There was another celestial beast who's jealousy was not quelled by her calming aura and he attacked her. Her motherly nature was fulfilled when the blood still leaking from her form gave life to her paintings and with that the Aflien's world [[Armondis]] was created, and soon after she created the Afliens themselves. Since her blood ran through their veins they held a grand from like their Great Mother. Powerful but gentle.  The most common type of Alfien is the Nimbus Subtype. These Alfiens soar through the clouds on large wings that are on their front arms. These wings can be 'absorbed' back into the arms to the Alfien can get around easier if needed. Their tails are very flexible and often end in a spade. Large slightly curved horns sit atop their heads and are very hard to break. A large crest of feathers runs from the top of the head down the back of the neck. This crest can be raised up or lowered flat to the skin to better communicate how the Alfien is feeling at the time. These crest feathers are considered very important to them and should they fall out the Alfien will often incorporate it somewhere in their favorite outfit or home decorations. They can live in any body of water be it oceans, rivers, lakes ect. The gills on their sides are able to filter oxygen from both salt and fresh water. They are known to build complex underwater settlements. These settlements can allow air breathing visitors to come and exist along side them. Their tails are long and thick like that of an alligator. The scales on the back of their neck are very strong and usually lay flat when they are swimming. When trying to be intimidating they can shake the neck and rattle the large scales on top of one another which makes a very loud rattling noise. When these scales shed they are incorporated into weapons and armor.
